Opening Statement
The game of paintball offers adrenaline, excitement, and camaraderie at a level not readily encountered in other forms of recreation. Being apart of this club will give individuals the opportunity to add a yet even greater dimension to this experience, including, team building, strategy and tactics, and camaraderie.
The Purpose of the Charter
The Purpose of the Charter is to establish a standard of safety and behavior for current and potential members of the Paintball Association.
The Purpose of the Paintball Association
The primary purpose of the Paintball Associationis to provide an atmosphere where all players, regardless of skill level, can play paintball for the simple enjoyment of the social aspects of the game.
The Association also plays paintball on the competitive level, and it is at this level that the association is dedicated to advancing the regional representation by competing at national levels as the sport grows.
Above all else, the association is dedicated to growing the sport of paintball and promoting safe and responsible behavior.
Safety
The Paintball Association places safety above every other aspect of the game. Association members will strive to ensure other players are behaving in a safe manner. With the permission of local field staff, the Association will aid in monitoring player safety. Protective gear MUST be worn at all times. You must know the field rules and follow them. The referee's instructions are to be followed at all times.

Playing Field
The Association is supported by Combat Zone Paintball and inturn supports Combat Zone Paintball wherever possible.
Club Days
Combat Zone Paintball holds regular “closed” for the associaton, normally on one selected Sunday in each month. While new players, potential members and guests are always welcome at Club Days, these days are not open to the public
Prospective members can attend a club day and purchase paint at club prices for the club day. They will then be asked to join the club to continue purchasing paint at the reduced club rates.
If an individual elects not to join the club they are still welcome to attend club days however equipment rental and paint must be purchased at the standard Combat Zone Paintball public prices.
Membership
Membership is restricted to those who adhere to the letter and spirit of the Rules and Charter established by the Paintball Association. Membership is not "lifetime", and ALL current members are on permanent probation. Those who do not strive to abide by the letter and spirit of the Rules and Charter will not be considered for future events and play days. Members who bring guest(s) out to Club events shall assume responsibility for that guest or guests.
Representative Teams
Only fully paid club members will be selected for competition club teams. Non club members are obviously still able to enter teams locally or nationally however no club support will be provided to these teams.
National Affiliations
The club will affiliate to the New Zealand Players Association.
Personal Liability & Disclaimer
All members must take full responsibility for any injuries or distress suffered as a result of playing paintball. Members indemnify the Otago Paintball Association, its officers, members and agents for any injury, loss or damage suffered to person, goods or property arising as a result of their actions, inactions or negligence while participating in any activities conducted by them.
All members must also sign and agree to the local field operators disclaimers at each club day.
Finally... The Paintball Association reserves the right to deny any player the opportunity to play with the Club during any future playing days. The Club will not tolerate any player whose actions in any way adversely affects the hard-earned reputation the Club presently enjoys or the safety of any person
Rules and Code of conduct
1. All members must fully understand and follow the clubs Code of conduct.
2. Always wear paintball goggles while playing paintball, and keep them on until in a safety area.
3. Treat every paintball gun as if it is loaded and follow the rules of safe paintball gun handling.
4. Be Respectful to all other players, members and spectators and will not be physically or verbally abusive to others.
5. Do not shoot at another person with the intent to cause harm.
6. Obey all rules of the field I am playing on.
7. Carry my paintball gun in a case or bag when in public and will not display or brandish it so as to frighten or alarm anyone.
8. Store my paintball gun out of the reach of children.
9. Avoid playing at any paintball field that does not follow basic rules of safety, and I will report any unsafe conditions to the club committee.
10. Encourage new players to try the sport of paintball and will treat new players with respect.
11. Do NOT shoot at any animals with intent to cause harm at any time. This applies to any game animals, rabbits, birds, possums etc.
12. Always have barrel condom in Marker when in safety area, while understanding that Barrel condoms are not 100% safe.
13. Do not shoot at any cars, houses, buildings or public at anytime!
14. All markers MUST be chronographyed under 300fps outdoor and under 250fps Indoor.
15. All members MUST Chrono there markers before a game and after all fills during club meets. CHEATERS! BAD ATTITUDES! BAD TEMPERS!
16. The above are not tolerated and could result in your removal from the club. |
